From loss comes improvement for LA Tech

Posted: Updated:
RUSTON, La -

The Skip Holtz era began on a sour note for Louisiana Tech with a 40-14 loss to North Carolina State Saturday night.  But the game may not have been as lopsided as the score indicated.   The Bulldogs squandered red zone chances with turnovers, and constantly set the Wolfpack up in great field position.

With one game behind him, Holtz says he's encouraged by what he saw in his team and is excited for the year ahead.  The Bulldogs will play their home opener on Saturday when they welcome Lamar to Ruston.
