Turnovers hurt LA Tech in loss

Posted: Updated:
RUSTON, La -

Louisiana Tech opened the season with a loss Saturday, losing a tough one on the road against NC State.  But the 40-14 defeat may not have been as lopsided as the score indicated.  The Bulldogs squandered red zone chances and set the Wolfpack up in scoring position multiple times with turnovers.  In fact, LA Tech had a chance in the first quarter to pull within a touchdown of NC State but running back Kenneth Dixon fumbled the chance away in the endzone.  Head coach Skip Holtz knows this game could have played out very differently without the turnovers.  Tech returns home next Saturday to face Lamar.
