Beckham provides LSU with special teams spark

Posted: Updated:
ARLINGTON, Tx. -

LSU walked away with a nice win over 20th ranked TCU in the Cowboys Classic Saturday night. But the Horned Frogs hung in there up until the end.  Odell Beckham had glimpses of greatness last season and he gave a nice preview of what 2013 could look like.

Beckham has made it clear he's one of Mettenberger's favorite targets but the purple and gold also rely on him on special teams.  Just when LSU needed a spark, TCU had scored 10 unanswered points when Beckham rattled off a 75 yard return that helped LSU deliver the knockout blow for the victory.

This brilliant move came just after Beckham didn't field a punt which pinned the Tigers deep in their own territory.  LSU went on to defeat TCU 37-27.
