Here's to you Mr. Robinson

Posted: Updated:
Monroe, LA -

The player KTBS 3 Sports recruiting expert Barton Simmons and 24-7 Sports considers the top recruit in the country committed to Alabama on Wednesday.  West Monroe offensive lineman Cameron Robinson, who is 6'5", 330 pounds says he and his family felt Alabama was the best fit for him.

Robinson has also been heavily recruited by LSU which has now lost three of the state's top players to Nick Saban and Alabama.  Robinson visited Tuscaloosa two weeks ago with two other top players from the state, Neville safety Hootie Jones and running back Leonard Fournette of New Orleans.  Robinson says he will try to help recruit each of them to Alabama.

The recruiting battle between Alabama and LSU for Robinson was expected to last much longer, but Robinson says he wanted to get the recruiting behind him so he can concentrate on his senior season at West Monroe and help his teammates try to win a state championship.  he may want the recruiting to be done, but should not be surprised if LSU is not going to try to get him to change his mind some time between now and singing day.
