Grambling knows what awaits

Posted: Updated:
GRAMBLING, La. -

Grambling might not want to play at Monroe, but the schedule gives the Tigers no choice.  Coming off a tough loss at home against Alabama A&M to start the season, Grambling makes the short trip to Monroe where an angry Warhawks team will be waiting.  ULM lost its opener at Oklahoma 34-0.

ULM quarterback Kolton Browning is one of the best players in the Sun Belt Conference and not one to be held down long.  Grambling head coach Doug Williams, who was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play, not just at Grambling, but in the NFL, says Browning is a perfect fit for the offense ULM runs and his defenders need to be careful.  Even if the defense is able to break down the pocket, Browning has the ability to avoid the rush and either run or throw.

Grambling needs a win, but considering ULM's schedule, the Tigers know the Warhawks will be focused becasue they will travel to Wake Forest then Baylor the following two weeks.
