NSU got their swag on Saturday

Posted: Updated:
NATCHITOCHES, La. -

For the first time since 2007, Northwestern State's football squad is 2-0.  The Demons continued their perfect start with a 55-14 beatdown of southern Saturday night.  Quarterback Zach Adkins had a terrific Natchitoches debut.  The junior college transfer threw for 331 yards and three scores in front of a crowd of nearly 15,000.

NSU fans have plenty to like about their new signal caller's abilities on the field, but the Demons say Adkins brings a little something extra to the team on gameday.  The Demons are gearing up for a tough road trip.  They play at Cincinatti Saturday.
