    In 1963 Bossier City Fire Fighters tried to save the lives of two sewage workers. It was a sad day because the workers died along with 2 veteran fire fighters, Larry Baldwin and Royce Glen Vogel. Today a huge maple tree stands as a memorial to those fire fighters and others who have died in the line of duty.
