BATON ROUGE, La -

LSU, ranked #6 in the nation and Georgia, ranked #9, play Saturday between the hedges in Athens in what's quickly become the game of the year for each team.  Life in the SEC is such, each will have more "games of the year" ahead, especially the winner.

LSU has a history of winning games like this by pounding the football with a strong running game and then leaning on an outstanding defense, but this year has the kind of offense that can match up with anyone.  Zach Mettenberger is now second in the SEC in passing efficiency behind.. Aaron Murray of Georgia.  Murray is a four year starter set to re-write virtually every passing record there is and the Tigers are ready.  Head coach Les Miles says his team shouldn't try to rattle a quarterback like Murray, who has a wealth of experience.  The Tigers will try to beat him by applying pressure and disguising coverages.  Georgia head coach Mark Richt says LSU makes it very clear what they will do because they just come at teams and pound away, trying to wear them down and he adds, "they've done a good job of that over the years."

For what it's worth, Aaron Murray will be making his 45th consecutive start and has seen it all.  Zach Mettenberger will be making his 18th consecutive start for LSU, the longest streak by a Tiger quarterback since.. Herb Tyler who had 37 in a row from 1995 to 1998.
