Demons ready to win

Posted: Updated:
NATCHITOCHES, La. -

The Demons of Northwestern State have had two tough weeks, but are ready to get back on the winning track.  NSU went up a level each of the past two weeks to play FBS teams and lost one-sided games to both Cincinnati and UAB.  But head coach Jay Thomas says he has a good football team that made some improvements after the Cincinnati game which has the team knowing it can compete at the FCS level once it begins conference play.

Thomas says the Demons still need to clean up a few things and they should get the chance to do that Saturday against Langston, which is an NAIA school.  Thomas says the team is looking forward to Saturday then the open week that follows.  Northwestern will open Southland Conference play on October 12th at Nicholls State.
