David Toms Academy enjoys opening weekend

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

What started as a dream is now a reality for pro golfer and Shreveport native David Toms.  The David Toms 265 Academy is complete.  Golfers ranging from veterans to youngsters have been hitting the course this weekend, honing their skills.

KTBS 3 sports director Paul Crane visited Toms at the academy a few months ago when the grass wasn't even grown in.  But as you can see the grass is green and the conditions are great, which is something that Toms couldn't be happier about.
