Caddo District Court Judge Mike Pitman is quite the athlete.  He's run 20 plus marathons, completed 2 ironman triathlons and even has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Mike also has a unique way of commuting to work!  He runs!  It's 8 miles one way or 16 for the daily total.  Not only does he accomplish this for fitness, he's training for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon this weekend.

Both Mike and his sister are competing in this event for a special reason:  "When we were younger, my dad had a massive heart attack while he was just 49 years old.  So, we are celebrating breaking that curse and moving on with a healthier lifestyle" according to Mike.

Meet Mike and find out why this marathon is special to him in my ArkLaTex In-Depth report at 6 PM.

Also, if you are interested is trying a marathon for the first time or might want to change your training routine, check these plans out from Runner's World.  Also, you can track Mike's progress at this link:  Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
