Brandon Harris: All-American

Posted: Updated:
BOSSIER CITY, La -

Parkway quarterback Brandon Harris Thursday was named to the Under Armour All-American game.  Harris will take part in the national high school all-star game to be played in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 2, 2014.  Only 90 players from across the country are selected and, with 13, Louisiana has more than any other state.

Harris says he is looking forward to the game, which he watched last year and to competing against some of the best in the country.  But Harris, an LSU commit, also says he is looking forward to recruiting any and all players at the all-star game who may still be uncommitted and convince them to come to LSU.

About one year ago, KTBS brought you a startling investigation into federal background checks for firearm purchases. Background checks are supposed to weed out felons and mental defectives. But Louisiana had reported zero mental defectives to the FBI's background check system, making us one of the worst states for keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. Because of that, lawmakers passed laws to fix these broken background checks. Until this law went into effect, someone could walk...
