SHREVEPORT, La -

Caddo Schools could be one step closer to a new Superintdent by the end of the week.

The Interviews Start Tuesday, October 22nd . First up is Theodis Goree, Of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Terrence Brown, Of Memphis, Tennessee, will  interview with The board  Wednesday, October 23rd.

Brown's interview will be followed by Timothy Magner, Shreveport, On Thursday, October 24th.

The candidates will meet with the media and the public in the District Board room on Midway.
The public interviews are from 2:30 p.m.  until 3:30 p.m. each day. The Caddo Parish School Board will meet Friday at  4 p.m. to cast its vote.

The community Advisory Board, which has been asked before to recommend their choice for a New Superintendent was not called back for this selection process.
Former members say this was one of the biggest mistakes School Board members made.

"We had done a thorough job. We spent many hours there.  Many hours trying to get the best candidate for this school system," said Bessie Smith.

"The committee voted for the candidate when they were instructed not to," said Jackie Lansdale.
