LSU in need of off-week

Posted: Updated:
BATON ROUGE, La -

The LSU Tigers have played 9 straight football games this season.  The purple and gold haven't endured a stretch like that since they played 11 games straight in 2005.

And maybe the Bayou Bengals were feeling it as they came out against lower division Furman slow and sloppy with too many turnovers.  Head coach Les Miles said they can't play like that if they want to take down Bama or A&M in the coming weeks and that's something they'll work on during their bye week this week.

That's right, LSU finally will have a weekend off as they prepare for their big road trip November 9th when the Tigers travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the current number 1 team in the country, the Crimson Tide.  LSU knows they need this off time.
