NSU prepares for Southland slugfest

NATCHITOCHES, La. -

 

The Northwestern State Demons will go for their first winning streak since opening the year 2-0 when they host Lamar this weekend.  Last week, the Demons upset nationally ranked Central Arkansas for their first Southland Conference win.  Despite pulling the upset a week ago, NSU Head Coach Jay Thomas knows nothing is easy in the Southland, especially with Lamar's tough defense coming to Natchitoches.  Thomas referred to the Southland Conference as the "black and blue league" and expects Saturday's game to be no different.
