Over 2 dozen arrested in Caddo Parish narcotics operation

CADDO PARISH, La. -

Over two dozen people were arrested after the Caddo/Shreveport Narcotics Unit conducted two operations in November.

The operations were in an attempt to stop the transportation and sale of illegal narcotics throughout Shreveport and Caddo Parish. Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotic Unit and Louisiana State Police conducted numerous undercover purchases, traffic stops and terry stops in and around the City of Shreveport during a two day operation.

As a result, law enforcement officers were able to buy and seize drugs, confiscate weapons and make over two dozen arrests. 169.9 grams of marijuana, 2.7 grams of crack cocaine, 22.5 Xanax, $1,121.00 and 2 handguns were confiscated. A total of 28 people were arrested for various offenses.
