Shreveport Police investigate deadly accident

SHREVEPORT, La. -

Shreveport Police are still investigating a deadly car accident.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. Friday in the 4000 block of Hilry Huckaby. 

Police say a 2001 Chevy Malibu, for unknown reason, left the roadway. The driver then re-entered the roadway directly into oncoming traffic and struck 2006 Kia Sorento.

The driver of the Chevy Malibu was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger in the vehicle was transported to University Health where they later succumbed to their injuries. 

The driver of the Kia was transported to University Health with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. 

No names have been released at this time.
