Parkway catches break with playoff game at Shreve

Posted: Updated:
BOSSIER CITY, La -

The LHSAA released their playoff pairings Sunday and Parkway High earned the number 2 seed in the non-select division of Class 5A.  Despite the high ranking and a perfect regular season record, the Panthers have to forego their home field advantage in every playoff contest this year.

Parkway won their final home game of the 2013 season Friday against Airline but the penalty doesn't feel that strict for this week, at least.  Parkway takes on a familiar district foe, Captain Shreve at Lee Hedges, which is only a 9 minute bus ride from Preston-Crownover stadium.

The Panthers will only feel the real effect of the LHSAA's punishment if they take down the Gators this Friday.  Either way, Parkway head coach David Feaster has been trying to prepare his team for this endeavor.

Parkway and Shreve kickoff from Lee Hedges at 7:00 Friday night.  The Panthers beat the Gators 48-10 back in October.
