Rangers' Ron Washington visits East Texas

Posted: Updated:
MARSHALL, Tx -

The same day Rangers manager Ron Washington completed his coaching staff for next year, he paid a visit to the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Pines to help celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Washington says he didn't have anything like this when he was growing up so he was excited to come out and support the Boys and Girls club.  The New Orleans native is all baseball from February until October, but spends his precious off-season shuttling between Texas and his New Orleans home.

This was the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Pines first speaker series, but the club says it won't be their last.
