Sister charged after deadly Jonesville shooting

Posted: Updated:

19-year-old Jonesville woman has been booked with second-degree murder after her sister, who she allegedly shot Sunday afternoon, died in the hospital Monday.

Catahoula Parish Sheriff James Kelly tells The Natchez Democrat Macy Poole is being held at the Franklin Parish Detention Center with a bond of $75,000 as deputies investigate the shooting.

Kelly says Macy Poole is alleged to have shot her 21-year-old sister, Tessa Poole, who was taken to Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following the shooting.

Kelly said Tessa Poole was pronounced dead Monday morning at the hospital.

He says detectives are still working on a motive for the slaying.

It was unclear whether Macy Poole has an attorney.
