BOSSIER CITY, La. -

Bossier City police arrested two Texas men this morning on drug charges following a traffic stop on Interstate-20.

Police arrested Shawn Moskwa, 20, of San Antonio and his passenger Dorian Givens, 20, of San Marcos after an officer stopped Moskwa's car for speeding while traveling eastbound on I-20 near I-220.

Upon getting consent to search the vehicle, officers utilized a Bossier City police dog and recovered approximately one quarter pound of what drug dealers consider to be high grade marijuana known as Kush along with 7 grams of methamphetamine. The drugs carry a total estimated street value of $3100.

Agents with the Bossier Narcotics Task Force responded to assist officers with the investigation and subsequently booked Moskwa and Givens into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Officers also issued Moskwa a citation for speeding and impounded his vehicle.
