BOSSIER CITY, La. -

The crime spree throughout Shreveport Wednesday morning was made possible by taxi cabs.

Mary Adler, 27, and Gary Coleman, 37, called a cab after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint at a hotel off West Monkhouse Road, and then a second cab after robbing one man and shooting another on Olive Street.

Eric Mose has only driven a cab for six weeks with Action Taxi, but he knew the trip he took with the crime spree suspects was different from the start. He was called to be their second driver that night.

"When I'm on my way to pick the customer up the office called me to say the lady needs me to hurry because she has a kid to go to school with," Mose said Thursday.

The office called one more time for Adler to see when Mose would get there. When he arrived, Adler acted strange.

"It's freezing so [I think that] is why she's like that," he said as he reenacted how Adler pulled her jacket over her head. "And she comes opens [the door]. Like everyday I say, 'Hello how are you?' When I say 'hello, how are you? I see her face with blood [on it]."

Mose said Coleman also had blood on him. He sat in the front seat, and even left blood on one of Mose's work documents.

"I said, 'What happened to you?'" Mose recounted. "They said they want to go to the hospital but they want to go first to the Royal Inn on North Market, so I do it quickly."

Mose though the couple was beat up and injured themselves. He was shocked to find out the crimes these two committed, but is thankful now.

"I realize they could have shot me too. Thank God. God was with me. Could have shot me too. You never know."

Both Mose and the other cab driver were questioned by police as witnesses.

Adler and Coleman are currently in the Shreveport City Jail. Bond has not been set.
