Van, TX -

Daingerfield fell short of the state championship last season in Jerry's world and after starting 2013 dropping 3 of their first 4 contests, thoughts of heading back were bleak.  But then the Tigers returned to form winning 6 straight, earning themselves the district title.

Daingerfield opened up the playoffs against Eustace in van Saturday afternoon and relied on a great performance by their defense to pull off a 34-7 victory in the bi-district round.  Head coach Aric Sardinea said the Tigers were rusty after the bye last week, but he looks forward to getting his team back to practice to work on their mistakes.
