Cartwheels Over Cancer: Fighting Cancer one Cartwheel at a Time

Posted: Updated:

One little girl is doing her part to fight cancer for children.

Fourth-grader GraceAnne Hodgson hopes to help children fighting cancer through "Cartwheel Over Cancer" the second-annual fund raiser benefiting the Feist Weiller Cancer Center.

The event is  from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM on Tomorrow, November 21 at South Highlands Elementary.

Like a walk-a-thon, children participating in "Cartwheel Over Cancer" will take pledges based on the number of cartwheels they can turn during the allotted time.

Students can also choose to jog or walk laps, jump rope, shoot baskets, hula-hoop or participate in other ways according to their physical abilities.

All proceeds will benefit Feist-Weiller Cancer Center.

GraceAnne chose Feist-Weiller because it is affiliated with St. Jude's Research Hospital and allows St. Jude's patients from Northwest Louisiana to undergo treatment close to home.
