LSU Tigers win 31 to 27 over Arkansas

BATON ROUGE, La. (WBRZ) -

The LSU Tigers have defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in a seesaw game with a final score of 31 to 27.

The Tiger offense got off to a good start against Arkansas. Terrance Magee scored on a 29 yard touchdown run to make it 7-0 LSU.

On the ensuing possession, the Razorbacks responded with a 3 yard touchdown run by Kiero Small.

Later, Magee came back to score again. This time it was a 23 yard touchdown run to put the Tigers up 14-7 in the first quarter.

Second Quarter:

Arkansas tied it at 14 on Brandon Allen touchdown pass to Hunter Henry.

The two teams would trade turnovers late in the quarter when Jalen Mills picked off a Allen pass in the endzone.

But Arkansas came right back to force a fumble on Zach Mettenberger deep in Tiger territory. The Hogs turned that into points on a 20 yard field goal. Arkansas leads at the half, 17-14.

Third Quarter:

Arkansas intercepted a Zach Mettenberger pass, then drove it inside the red zone before posting a 28-yard field goal to extend the Hogs' lead to six.

However, Jeremy Hill broke off one of his patented breakaway runs to put the Tigers back on top for the first time in the half.

Hill took it 52 yards for the score and has 100 yards on 11 carries thus far in the game.

Arkansas continues to respond, as Jason Allen led the Hogs on a 15-play, 75-yard drive that ate up 6:45 on the game clock; the Hogs eventually scored on an Allen-to-Henry strike from two yards out to take the lead again over the Tigers 27-17.

We've been told by many veterans that they receive quality care at the V.A. hospital in Shreveport. But for some getting an appointment to see their caregivers is the challenge. According to our V.A., they do not have a problem getting patients seen quickly - and the numbers they report echo that conclusion. Ever since allegations that veterans died waiting for care came out of phoenix, we've all been asking, why, and how could an organization aimed at helping our servicemen and women foster an atmosphere where this has gone on for so long?
