BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTBS) -

A "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be held for Annie Johnson Bond on Friday, December 13th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Community Methodist Church.

The Bossier Parish woman was killed last month and the man accused of her murder, her estranged husband, Robert Bond, remains in fair condition in a south Mississippi hospital, where he's recovering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A co-worker went to the couple's home to check on Ann after she failed to show up to work at Encore Event Rentals on the morning of November 14th, but found only her car in the garage.

Annie Bond's remains were found in a wooded area on Dorcheat Bayou in Webster Parish on November 20th.

Robert Bond is facing second degree murder charges, and is awaiting transfer back to Bossier Parish when his health improves.

The family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to two organizations that Annie supported - Grace Home and Holy Angels.

Those who knew Ann describe her as a "walking angel with a beautiful smile."

The memorial is open to the public and is located at 9400 Ellerbe Road in Shreveport.
