Carthage ready to return to Bulldog football

Posted: Updated:
CARTHAGE, Tx -

The Carthage Bulldogs are no strangers to state championships, but after winning three in a row from 2008-2010 the expectation is to get there and win it every year.

Carthage (13-1) plays LaGrange (13-0) Friday night in Mansfield.  This is the round the Bulldogs lost in last year and they believe they have been through too much to not make it now.

Carthage braved the wintry weather conditions the past 2 weeks to keep their 2013 football season alive.  But in order to be successful, they had to almost abandon their potent aerial attack and rely on the play of their offensive line and their bruising run game.  Needless to say, they're excited to return to playing their brand of football this week against LaGrange.

Carthage vs LaGrange kicks off at 7:30 Friday in Mansfield, TX.
