Big recruiting news for LSU, LA Tech, not for Arkansas

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

LSU picked up a major commitment on Tuesday when 5-star linebacker Clifton Garrett out of Illinois committed to the Tigers.  KTBS 3 Sports recruiting expert Barton Simmons of 247 Sports and Comcast CSS "In The Huddle" program discusses what kind of player Garrett is, what his commitment means and what may lie ahead for LSU.

Simmons also looks at LSU running back commit Darrell Williams and how LSU target, defensive tackle Gerald Willis, has narrowed his final choices down to two.

Simmons also talks about Woodlawn safety Donovan Wilson, who committed to Louisiana Tech and Evangel wide receiver Jared Cornelius, who decommitted from Arkansas so he could go to TCU.

In the coaching ranks, Arkansas lost a key recruiter in south Florida when assistant coach Charlie Partridge took the head job at FAU.  We discuss what that means for the Razorbacks and what Mack Brown's resignation means for recruiting at Texas.
