Posted: Updated:

The Caddo Parish School Board considered  applications from six organizations hoping to set up charter schools in the district. The green light was given to 3 of them Tuesday night.

Kimberly Williams, an educational consultant based in Baton Rouge, commended the board on it's decision."I  think the board said it best, charter schools are here to stay.  Local district have to learn how to work within charters and not against charters . I think this board has done a phenomenal job in navigating through that," said Williams.
