'Schutz' & Scores

Posted: Updated:

After 2 seasons of falling short, Carthage quarterback Blake Bogenschutz finally brought a state championship back to the Bulldogs.  The title had eluded the senior signal caller until Friday's victory over Kilgore, 34-23.

Bogenschutz rushed for 100 yards and threw for 185 more and 2 touchdowns, earning him the Offensive MVP award.  He also set the all-time passing record at Carthage, throwing for 10 yards shy of 4,000.

KTBS' Tatum Everett has more from Arlington on Bogenschutz's state championship moment.
