Back-to-Back: Junction serves state championship shutout

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -

Jarkell Brown had touchdown runs of 64 and 53 yards, and JaQwis Dancy scored on 67- and 20-yard runs, as Junction City defeated Des Arc 60-0 Saturday for the Arkansas Class 2A high school football title.

The Dragons scored on every possession except one and won its second straight title, this time by a record margin.

Junction City scored four touchdowns on its first eight plays to take a 26-0 first-quarter lead. Up 34-0 in the second quarter, the Dragons attempted an onside kick, recovered and drove to make it 41-0 by halftime.

The Dragons outgained Des Arc 497-126. Dancy had 163 yards on 14 carries.

Des Arc drove inside the Dragons' 35 twice in the second half. James Lee had 57 yards on 17 carries for Des Arc.
