Maumelle woman arrested for fatal crash in LR

Posted: Updated:

Police have arrested a Maumelle woman on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with a March car crash that killed two people in Little Rock.

Police say 21-year-old Ladrill White turned herself in to authorities on Christmas Eve. She faces two felony counts of manslaughter in the March 31 wreck that killed 49-year-old Patricia Miller and 26-year-old Blake Brown, both of Little Rock.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that White told police that she was speeding because she was in a hurry to get her hair done before going to church for Easter services.

An affidavit says White's SUV was traveling 84 mph at the time of the crash. The speed limit was 45 mph.

White remained in the Pulaski County jail Friday morning, and records don't list an attorney.
