The Natchitoches Police Department Detective Division has made several arrests in a homicide that happened on Christmas morning.

Officers responded to several calls to the police station reporting multiple gunshots and a large group of people in the parking lot of Moffet's Texaco in the 1400 block of Texas Street in Natchitoches. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the parking lot empty but found several bullet casings in the parking lot.

Several "persons of interest" were interviewed that night and on Christmas Day around 8:00 p.m., Donna Franklin arrived at the police station saying that her son LaBraynt Franklin was had been missing since the night before and had not been heard or seen since.

The next morning, Miss. Franklin and other relatives were in the area looking for LaBrayant when one of the searchers found his body behind a building.

After interviewing multiple suspects and witnesses, detectives arrested Joseph Llorence, 31, for Manslaughter and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Also arrested was 30 year-old Randy Lewis. He's charged with Inciting a Riot, Principal to Manslaughter and Discharging a Firearm inside the city limits.

Detectives also arrested 21 year-old Justin Haskett. He's charged with Discharging a Firearm inside the City Limits.

The investigation revealed that there had allegedly been a large fight in the parking lot that escalated into a shootout between rival parties.
