N La temps: 50s in the morning, frigid afternoon

Posted: Updated:

Temperatures are plumetting as an arctic front moves into the Deep South, sending temperatures from the 50s to about freezing.

The National Weather Service says North Louisiana had Sunday morning temperatures in the 50s. But meteorologist Aaron Stevens says that by midafternoon, they had fallen to the upper 30s, with winds strong enough to make them feel like the low 30s or upper 20s.

And he says clear skies at night will mean a frigid Monday morning, with temperatures in the upper teens and a wind chill in the single digits.
