Saints miss out on offensive opportunities

Posted: Updated:
SEATTLE, WA -

The New Orleans Saints dug themselves too deep of a hole in the first half of their divisional playoff contest against the Seahawks to recover.  The black and gold were one possession away from tying up a game they had been trailing in 16-0 at halftime.

With the help of a great and very impressive defensive performance, the Saints could have used the couple of missed field goals or those turnovers back.  New Orleans also had trouble converting on 3rd down, they were only 3 of 12, even though they ruled the stats in first downs and had almost twice as many yards as the Seahawks.  It was those small picture missed opportunities that added up to a loss in the end.
