Griffin's Good Life: Alaska Trip

Posted: Updated:

For those who have reached or passed retirement age, the good life can mean different things.

However, one thing is certain, it all starts with being positive and staying active.

For many leading the good life staying active includes travel. Sometimes it's only a short trip a few hours from home. At other times, it's to far away places like Ireland.

That's where the 2013 KTBS trip took us last year. 68 year old Bill Lawrence and his 67 year old wife who love to travel were on that trip.

"When we retired we didn't plan on sitting in front of the fireplace and watch the fire. We both volunteer and we supplement that with travel and seeing new things." Lawrence said.

Next up. A two week trip to Alaska... July 25 to August 8

The KTBS trips, like to Alaska, include people of all ages and the mixed bag makes it all even more fun.

And the opportunity to make new friends is another one of the things that, to me, makes, the KTBS trips special.

New friends and lots to see and talk about - all parts of living a good life for young and old.

Next week we'll look at the Lawrence's story and how they're living the good life.
