Two teens behind bars following burglary of Texarkana animal shelter

TEXARKANA, Ark. (KTBS) -

Two teens are in trouble with the law in connection with a recent burglary at a Texarkana animal shelter.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has arrested and charged two juveniles with Commercial Burglary,two counts of Breaking or Entering, Theft & Criminal Mischief.

Monday, authorities learned that four dogs (three of which were pit bulls), had been stolen along with some vaccinations, dog food, a dog house and assorted items from the Animal Care & Adoption Center.

The case remains under investigation and more arrests are anticipated.
