Recruiting decisions coming down to the wire

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

With National Signing Day coming on February 5th many recruits are finalizing decisions, others are changing them.  KTBS 3 Sports recruiting expert Barton Simmons of 247 Sports and Comcast CSS "In The Huddle" program talks about several key players and the moves they have made.

Big tight end Ravian Pierce of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida had committed to Arkansas, but has decommitted.  Simmons explains why.  But there's a big defensive tackle who has whittled down his list of finalists by saying "no" to schools like Ohio State and Notre Dame, but Arkansas is still in play.

LSU has a new battle to fight with another big school starting to work inside the state borders.  Simmons details that and several key visits for the Tigers.

We also talk about the hiring of Manny Diaz at Louisiana Tech, which looks like it could be a recruiting home run.
