Texarkana man wanted for his alleged role in a convenience store robbery

TEXARKANA, Tx. (KTBS) -

Texarkana Texas Police have identified one of two robbery suspects from an overnight robbery of a local convenience story that happened a week ago.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant for aggravated robbery for Calvin Don Whaley. The 33 year-old black male who is about 5'10" and weighs about 160 pounds. Whaley, who goes by the nickname of "C-Note" has a tattoo on his neck and acne scarring on his face. He is believed to be staying in the Texarkana area and should be considered armed and dangerous. Whaley also has a warrant for parole violation.

The crime happened back on January 17, 2014 just after 3:00 a.m. when two men entered a convenience store in the 5100 block of Summerhill Road and made a small cash transaction. One of the suspects then pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol and order the clerk to open the cash register. After both suspects pulled money from the register drawer, one of them went behind the counter and took several packages of cigarettes and lighters. Both men then ran away from the scene.

Anyone with information on Whaley's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
