Lady Cowboy Legacy

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

The high school basketball district slate continues Friday night and the Southwood girls are in hot pursuit of a title repeat.  They have first year head coach Terry Josting at the helm, who replaced legendary Southwood coach Steve McDowell 3 days before the season started.

The Lady Cowboys are experiencing success.  They are 16-7 and ranked 8th in the state in class 5A.  Josting said Southwood is not normally used to 7 losses in a year, but that the transition has been smooth and he hopes to just continue the winning Lady Cowboy legacy.
