SHREVEPORT, La -

The LSUS Pilots pushed their win streak to 11 Saturday night, beating The University of Southwest 90-87.  It was a lot closer than the Pilots would have hoped, but Head Coach Kyle Blankenship says he's proud of his team for getting the win.  The Mustangs entered the match up with just one win on the year, and were winless in conference play.  The Pilots leaned on their senior leadership to survive a furious second half run by Southwest.  Senior Guard Brandon Davis had a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds.  This was the Pilots' first game since breaking back into the NAIA top 25 at 17.

Castor high school is one of a handful of local softball teams still alive in the playoffs. Co-head coaches Bill and Joy-Dee Wallace and their Lady Tigers have engineered a 16 game win streak and they think it's the family atmosphere of the small school squad.
