SHREVEPORT, La. (KTBS) -

The LSU Shreveport Chancellor Search Committee has narrowed down the search for its next Chancellor to four candidates.

The applicants were chosen after a series of face-to-face interviews with a group of semi-finalists.

Vying for the position are:

Dr. Betsy Vogel Boze - President of the College of the Bahamas

Dr. Lawrence S. Clark - Dean of the Cameron School of Business, University of North Carolina Wilmington

Dr. Brian R. McGee - Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President for Executive Administration at the College of Charleston (SC)

Dr. Robert Mock - Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Kentucky

The search committee is made up of a group of LSUS faculty, staff, students, alumni, members of the LSUS Shreveport Foundation Board of Directors, and members of the Shreveport-Bossier community at-large.

Members of the committee submitted names to Dr. F. King Alexander, LSU President.

"We are one step closer to naming the next Chancellor of LSU Shreveport, and we are extremely pleased with the quality of candidates that have applied for the position," said Dr. Alexander. "I am looking forward to meeting each one of them and finding the right candidate to lead LSUS," Dr. Alexander said in a press release.

The candidates will meet with campus and community representatives, as well as with Dr. Alexander on the LSU Shreveport campus between February 10 and 13.

LSU Shreveport will offer an open forum for the community to meet each one of these candidates and ask questions. The open forum will take place on the 3rd Floor of the Noel Memorial Library, and each candidate will be available at the following times:

If you are not available to make each event, but would still like to participate, you can watch the open forum live from the following link: http://lsushreveport.adobeconnect.com/chancellorsearch
