Tatum Eagles Soar in District

Posted: Updated:
Tatum, TX -

The Tatum, Texas basketball team has already clinched its district with two games to play and is 26-4 overall.  Tatum has made two state championship appearances in 12 years and came up short each time.

The Eagles are soaring through district play. They are undefeated, averaging 87 points per game and scoring in triple digits 5 out of their 11 district contests.  But Tatum also gets it done on the other side of the court, holding district opponents to an average of 38 points per game.

In 2 contests with the reigning state champs White Oak already this season, the Eagles have won hard fought battles. That's why Tatum feels like this is their year to bring back a title for their town and a first for 12 year head coach Brett Carr.

Tatum has 2 more district contests before they start the playoffs. The Eagles take on Jefferson Friday, who they already beat 106-47 earlier this month.
