Manny possibilities

Posted: Updated:

Louisiana Tech made a big hire when it named Manny Diaz defensive coordinator in late January.  Diaz was a rising star when he went from Middle Tennessee, to Mississippi State, to Texas.  Diaz, rumored to be a candidate for an assistant's job at LSU, was introduced today in Ruston.  Diaz says he's excited to be part of a program that preaches trust and accountability.  Head coach Skip Holtz says, "I've just always had great respect for him and feel very fortunate that we were able to attract him to Louisiana Tech.  I'm excited about the future".

Despite all the rumors of where he would land next, Diaz is officially a Bulldog and plans to bring his style of defense to Ruston saying, "Our whole mentality is, we want to play championship defense.  We want to be the defense that can win us a Conference USA championship".
