BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTBS) -

UPDATE: 2/18/14

The suspect who was featured in the news release below is now in custody. Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department's Property Crimes Unit arrested Glenn Curtis Young Jr, 35, of Shreveport Monday night after receiving a tip.

That tip led detectives to Young's home in the 2700 block of Fairfield Avenue where he was taken into custody with the assistance of Shreveport Police.

Upon being questioned by Bossier City detectives, Young was booked into the Bossier City Jail on multiple counts of simple burglary in connection with more than a dozen recent vehicle burglaries in Bossier City.

Detectives say Young's arrest will likely clear dozens more vehicle burglaries that have occurred since early January.

Detectives also recovered a number of items from Young's residence believed stolen including electronics, GPS navigation devices, firearms, tools, credit cards and laptop computers.

Detectives also recovered Young's blue GMC Envoy which also contained suspected stolen property.

The Bossier City Police Department and Bossier Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help with identifying and locating a man believed to have been involved in more than a dozen vehicle burglaries over the past few weeks.

The suspect was recently caught on camera at a local retail store using a stolen credit card that was taken in one of the break-ins. The suspect is described as a white male who is possibly in his late 20's or early 30's with a shaved head and goatee. He is seen in the video wearing gauge earrings, which are round earrings that fit inside earlobes that are stretched out. The suspect was seen driving a blue SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy, which was also caught on security camera video.

Anyone who can help police find the suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100. Tips can also be submitted to bossiercrimestoppers.org. Anyone who contacts Bossier Crime Stoppers can remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.

We've been told by many veterans that they receive quality care at the V.A. hospital in Shreveport. But for some getting an appointment to see their caregivers is the challenge. According to our V.A., they do not have a problem getting patients seen quickly - and the numbers they report echo that conclusion.
