BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTBS) -

The Colonial Oaks Nursing Home got an extra special gift on Valentine's Day.

That's because Elm Grove Elementary's Pre-K students made some special deliveries to the residents at Colonial Oaks. The kiddos had a blast singing songs and passing out Valentines and the folks there at Colonial Oaks say it's the best holiday treat.

"We needed this today. This is the best gift y'all could have given us is to let us come out and see the children" says Betty Fincher.

Students collected travel-sized toiletries to make care packages filled with lotion, hand sanitizer, sugar free candy and more. The kids hand delivered those goodies Friday morning.
