NSU looks for SFA upset Saturday

Posted: Updated:
NATCHITOCHES, La. -

The Northwestern State men have had all week to prepare for their big match-up with Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.  The Lumberjacks currently lead the Southland Conference standings and are planning to "Cram the Coliseum" when the Demons come to town.

The large crowd and home court advantage will be in SFA's favor and so is their home win streak.  The Jacks share the nation's longest home win streak total with Duke at 30 games, and they'll be going for 21 straight wins overall Saturday.

They haven't lost since November 23rd but all of those numbers mean nothing to NSU head coach Mike McConathy.  The Demons look to have a better performance than their last meeting with SFA.  The Jacks beat them 74-58, which is the Demons lowest point total of the season.  NSU normally averages 86.4 points a game.
