Byrd vs Shreve: Third times a charm

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

Bitter rivals Captain Shreve and C.E. Byrd finished the regular season tied for the District 1-5A championship.  And this weekend we get to catch this rivalry one more time as the Gators and Yellow Jackets will take each other on for the third time this season for the upper hand in power points.

It'll be another match-up for the books.  These two teams split meetings this year.  Shreve won the first game, hitting the century mark and defeating Byrd 100-79.  But the Jackets got their revenge this last time, downing the Gators 74-66.

This game will be played on neutral ground at LSUS this Saturday at 2:00.
