Calley Schneider wins $1,000

Posted: Updated:

Jan Elkins and Assignment Education's Crystal Whitman went to Central Park Elementary to surprise Calley Schneider with a check for $1,000 today! Schneider is an English and Language Arts teacher.

She plans to use her funding for her "Learning Out Loud Project" to promote reading through skills through books and cd players.

"We are the only school in Bossier Parish that is doing this. Every Tuesday we have different events to work with kids with math; science and research, which is the grant I'm doing," said Schneider.

Congratulations again to Calley Schneider from Central Park Elementary. And many thanks to our sponsors; Barksdale Federal Credit Union, and Sudden Link, for helping us with One Class At a Time.
