Byrd survives Shreve for 2nd straight win over Gators

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

Third times a charm for Captain Shreve and Byrd as their boys basketball teams had to face each other for the third time this season.  On Tuesday, both schools won a share of the District 1-5A title and they decided to play for the upper hand in the power points Saturday on neutral ground at LSUS.  Captain Shreve looked like they had a handle on the game until the end when Byrd exploded for the lead and the eventual win, 74-71.
